Approach Permit -- Permit needed when
constructing a driveway off of a County Road. This permit may be filled out electronically
and printed for signature of applicant. It can then be emailed, mailed, faxed, or hand delivered
to the highway department for approval. (in PDF format)
Haul Road Agreement -- Agreement for a particular or unexpected
use of a Pennington County Road for hauling abnormal volumes of loads during a prolonged period
of time in which potential damage to the road may occur. This permit may be filled out electronically
and printed for signature of applicant. It can then be emailed, mailed, faxed, or hand delivered
to the highway department for approval.
Highway Use Permit -- Permit required to travel on
the County Road System with an oversize or overweight vehicle. This permit may be filled out
electronically and emailed, mailed, faxed, or hand delivered to the highway department for calculation
of fees due and approval. (Credit cards are not accepted, therefore, payment of fees shall be arranged

Utility Installation or Excavation within
Public Right-of-Ways Permit -- Permit required for utility installation or excavation within the
public right-of-ways. This permit may be filled out electronically and printed for signature of applicant.
It can then be emailed, mailed, faxed, or hand delivered to the highway department for approval.
